3DHero is Zach - a maker based in the Garden City area of SW Kansas who builds things that are worth holding. Fun stuff for the craft show booth. Custom parts for people who are stuck.
It started with a printer and a question: what can this actually make that people actually want? The answer turned out to be a lot. Games that fold into books. Dragons that articulate in your hand. Brackets and adapters for things that nobody sells anymore.
The store catalog is what you see at the booth - the pieces that make people stop and pick them up. Book games with magnetic closures. Poseable dragon figures. Desk accessories, nightlights, gifts. Things that are clearly made, not just extruded.
The custom side is different. Someone calls because a grain bin bracket snapped and the OEM stopped making it five years ago. A homeowner needs a mount that every hardware store almost carries. A hobbyist has a part that is discontinued and needs one more. That is a different kind of problem and it gets a different conversation.
